EBP London – Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions
EBP London (‘we’, ‘our’, ‘us’) refers to the contractor. ‘Customer’ refers to the person or organisation instructing the works.
2. Quotations
Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated and are based on information available at the time. Variations are chargeable.
3. Estimates
Estimates are guides only and may change where additional work or hidden defects are discovered.
4. Payment
Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing. Deposits and stage payments may be required.
5. Deposits
Deposits secure booking slots and materials and may be non-refundable where costs have been incurred.
6. Cancellations
Less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation charge.
7. Access
Safe and reasonable access must be provided.
8. Existing Pipework
We are not liable for failures of existing valves, clips, fittings or pipework caused by age, corrosion or pre-existing defects when carrying out normal operations.
9. Hidden Defects
We are not responsible for concealed defects that could not reasonably be identified before work commenced.
10. Electrical Work
Electrical work is excluded unless stated. Qualified electrician costs are additional where required.
11. Boiler Installations
Manufacturer warranties are separate and require annual servicing where applicable.
12. Gas Safety
Unsafe appliances may be isolated in accordance with Gas Safe guidance.
13. Water Damage
Pre-existing weaknesses revealed during draining, filling or testing are not our responsibility.
14. Emergency Call-Outs
Emergency attendance covers diagnosis and initial repair only where possible.
15. Customer-Supplied Materials
No responsibility is accepted for customer-supplied products or their warranties.
16. Workmanship Warranty
12-month workmanship warranty applies to our labour only, subject to exclusions.
17. Parking & Charges
Parking, ULEZ, congestion and similar charges may be added.
18. Waste Removal
Waste removal is only included where stated.
19. Property Damage
Making good and decorative repairs are excluded unless specified.
20. Frozen or Seized Components
Older components may fail during normal operation and replacement is chargeable.
21. System Draining
Existing leaks exposed during draining/refilling are not our responsibility.
22. Parts Availability
Completion depends on supplier availability.
23. Scaffolding & Access Equipment
Scaffolding, towers or cherry pickers are excluded unless quoted.
24. Working at Height
Work will only be undertaken where safe access is available.
25. Asbestos
Work will stop if suspected asbestos is discovered until assessed.
26. Smart Controls
Configuration of third-party smart devices may incur additional charges.
27. Condensate Pipework
Frozen or incorrectly installed existing condensate pipework may require additional remedial work.
28. Power Flushing & Chemicals
Existing leaks may become apparent after cleaning or chemical treatment.
29. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must provide utilities, clear access and required permissions.
30. Suspension of Work
Work may be suspended for non-payment, unsafe conditions or abusive behaviour.
31. Retention of Title
Goods remain our property until paid for in full where legally enforceable.
32. Complaints
Please notify us promptly to allow inspection and resolution.
33. Privacy
Customer information is handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection law.
34. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these terms limits statutory rights under applicable consumer legislation.
35. Limitation of Liability
Liability is limited to the value of the works except where the law provides otherwise.
36. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control.
37. Variations
Additional requested work will be charged separately.
38. Commercial Customers
Commercial works may be subject to separate terms where agreed.
39. Landlord Instructions
The instructing party is responsible for obtaining necessary permissions.
40. Chargebacks
Customers should contact us to resolve disputes before initiating payment chargebacks.
41. Photographs
Site photographs may be taken for records and warranties.
42. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
43. Entire Agreement
These terms and the quotation form the agreement.
44. Customer Acceptance
Booking, accepting a quotation, paying a deposit or allowing work to commence constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
45. Severability
If one clause is unenforceable, the remainder remain effective.
